My Money Back Challenge for John and Bob

Post by Lord Shaper »

Ok in the last Previews Episode John admitted liking a zombie book because it was different to any other zombie book out there.

So I'm challenging John and Bob (if he isn't picking it up already) to pick up one issue of The Living Corpse since it's a different zombie book that is fun and can give you a good laugh...

If you guys don't like the book or it's not something that you could give a few issues to and see how it goes I'll send you the $2.99 that you paid for it.

What do you say? Up for the challenge?

I've actually already tried the book, and it was not my cup of tea.

I think it was the art style. While it's perfectly fine art, it just did not mesh for me with the subject matter. Just a personal preference on my part, I do think the concept is very unique & interesting.

I'll try to remember to flip through a copy when I go to the local store this weekend. If it looks like something I might like, I'll pickup a copy. But you have to realize that this is a genre that I normally stay well away from.

Hence why I'm offering to give you your money back for it if you don't like it hehehe. BTW if you see Issue 3 have a look at the letters Column, Kryptographik gets a nice shout out in there.

I do like the book and it's more of a comedy style zombie book rather than the heap of serious ones out there. The art always reminds me of a cartoony Crypt of Horror and those EC books from the 50's. And the stories are all so far done in ones so your not going to pick up something in the middle of an arch.

Along these lines, I was convinced by Vince B, David Price and Chris Neseman to try Crawl Space: XXX Zombies. I'm looking forward to it; and this is from another guy who generally doesn't consider himself much of a fan of the genre.

XXXombies was an Awesome read. I loved it. Funny, gross, and shocking.
