Spawn Collection Sales

Post by knightwingbk »

Hey John,

I'm wondering if you have any data on the Spawn Collection sales? I'm currently half-way through Volume 4 which collects up to issue 75 and I'm having a blast reading this story in this fashion. There are no true story-arcs and there are things still building from the first 10 issues, which I really like. And the price point is pretty good (at least for me) $20 for $30 on some good quality paper. Are these selling well enough for Image to keep collecting them as the series runs along? The premise of what's going on now (Armageddon happened) really intrigues me and I want these collections to get to that point. I think Volume 3 shipped sometime in March and April, and Vol 4 shipped in August or September (could be October). So they are not as frequent as they could be, but with Volume 5 coming in December I'm hoping that they won't stop there.

Volume 4 opened with around 1939 copies sold to retailers. I would think that should be enough for it to keep going since it has a potentially infinite shelf life.
