Legion of Super-Heroes #1 (spoilers)

Post by BobBretall »

Wow! Paul Levitz still "has it". This issue (for me as a long-time Legion fan) totally kicked (bleep).

* I am totally curious about what the "Flashpoint" in 2011 will turn out to be.

* What a jerk that guy at the time institute was. Every long time DC fan knows you cannot observe the origin of the DCU. I'm curious about how the events this set in motion will play out.

* Sodam Yat, still alive! But this Dyogene dude looks to be the one who will be re-kindling the GL Corp in the future. I'm really going to like seeing how that plays out.

Levitz really captured the "voices" of the individual Legionnaires (in my opinion) and I'm going to be loving watching how this series unfolds.

This was the best Legion comic (outside of Geoff Johns) that I have read in decades. Even better then DnA's run. Why? Once thing that has been missing since the Archie Legion was the characters that readers grew to love in the 70s and 80s. The reboot, in my mind, pretty much erased not only the history but in some cases, the personalities.

I also thought it is great that this series will be extra sized going forward, without an useless backup to fill the extra space, but just more content related to the main story. This is great considering the size of the cast.

What is the old saying? Those that don't study history are doomed to repeat it. Those that attempt to observe the dawn of history are dooming everybody...
