The fact that they even HAVE bronze-age books like that for sale puts them into a category occupied by only about 10% of stores (by my observations as I travel around and visit shops across the land)......

Many shops have no back issues, the next tier has back issues, but only recent (last couple of years) or maybe back into the 90s. These cover about 90% of shops.

Then there are the shops with Bronze/silver (10%). Of those, about half price gouge or seriously mis-grade.

So, your LCS is "Top 5%", they sound like a keeper!!!
My LCS is one hell of a store. They boast a 95% hit rate for Silver Age - current Marvel and DC books. They obviously have some holes in some Indy titles, but that's because he orders maybe one or two shelf copies for a book on top of what Package customers request. That being said, I was able to find Iron Fist #14, Green Lantern #111 and #112, Justice League of America #22, and Flash #175 all in stock, but no copies of Savage Dragon #83 could be found.

I appreciate everyone's feedback, it's great to see that folks watch the site so closely! We have a weekly email you can sign up for on the front page that discusses some of the buys we make, and you can also bookmark this page:

http://www.mycomicshop.com/restocked

and see what has come in for various price points / eras on different weeks. Restocks are posted several times a week, so you have to be quick to catch some of the stuff.

On the pricing issue, our pricing is partly based on supply, as some of you have noticed, but also is affected by purchases we make. If we buy a large collection at a great price, we pass those savings on to our customers whenever possible. Sometimes, we'll buy an entire run from a store that has closed at a very good price, so that whole run will look like quite a bargain for a while!

Thanks for your business, and we're always interested in your feedback.

Thanks Again,
-CP

I might also point out that I have been very happy with their "Want List" feature. I'm able to add stuff to my list that I'm interested in (that are not in stock) and I get automatic e-mails letting me know when they come back into stock.

Then I can go buy them ;)

I concur. The wishlist feature has caused me to spend many a dollar! After all, I feel foolish spending $4 for something that has come into stock, I just have to spend another $15 or so! :)

Japan was great. I had a great time seeing my cousins and going to a number of cool places in Japan. I'll try to post some photos once I geta chance to go through them and pick out the good ones.

I finally got my order and thank you Bob for introducing me to the VG grade. This is a really nice grade that Lone Star sends out. This is such a good deal and the books are really in fantastic shape. I think Lone Star is fantastic with there grading.

I know what grade I am getting my older books in from hear on out.

Thanks Bob!

I've got all the comics from the orders I documented on this thread, and though I'd put up a picture so you can see what they look like!

These are all "Single title stacks" with 3 exceptions:
* Aquaman stack: also has Bat Lash, Jonah Hex & Weired Western Tales
* Ghost Rider stack: also has Iron Man & Hulk
* Metal Men stack: also has Wonder Woman & X-Men

Image

Please note that the Ghost Rider comic on the stack shown here where he is invited to "Shake Hands with Satan" cannot have happened in current Marvel-Way continuity. Perhaps that is really the rogue angel Zadkiel just posing as Satan to pull the wool over GR's eyes.

Yes you do!

For everyone else's benefit, the stacks in question are on either end of the middle row. The Eighty-Page Giant stack (with a Jimmy Olsen on top) and the Silver Surfer stack.....

Thanks for alerting me to these great deals, Chris!!

BTW, I finally picked them up off the floor after I took the picture (my wife was sick of them on the floor in front of the TV). They filled 2 long boxes......

If you picked up Ghost Rider 65 from the early 70's turn to page 18 and I have that page now!
