Star Trek Trailer (Bootleg)

Post by HassanT »

This looks sooo awesome.

I have always been a big Star Trek fan, although my love for it has not been there for the past several years. I felt they did too many spin-offs there were not the best quality. When John and Bob asked why the Star Trek comics aren't doing well, I thought it is because the fanbase has shrunk due to bad decisions by the keepers of the franchise.

Going back to the original crew and doing a reboot (ala James Bond) I think was great move. Kirk, Spock, and McCoy are the Trinity of the Stark Trek Universe and what got me (and everyone else) to love Star Trek. Since Star Wars has now become essential a video game type story (all action, no characterization or story), this could again become my favorite Sci-fi series. (ST and STTNG were my favorite tv shows of all-time)

They had a kick-(bleep) Star Trek promo in front of the new Bond movie......

(really cool Watchmen promo too)

And Quantum of Solace was GREAT. But you need to re-watch Casino Royale before you go see it. Serious continuity from one movie to the next.

We saw Quantum of Solace today and it was great. I heard about the continuity from the Casino Royale, which was great. Reminds me of the early Bond movies.

And the Trek trailer looks better in the theater.

Yeah, they are setting up the "Quantum" organization to be the SPECTRE of the re-booted Bond continuity. Kind of cool. I look forward to seeing how they flesh it out over the next few films.

That is cool. I think SPECTRE was a great aspect of the earlier Bond movies.

As for Trek, I just set my DVR to record some classic Star Trek from TV Land. I want to get my kids into Trek. My wife has already told me that she never liked Star Trek. Of course, I have to test that theory by showing he Star Trek II.
