Highlights of the Month
Thought this would be as good a place as any to highlight some of the standout titles from each month (selfishly this might also make it less likely to overlook titles in the yearly comics spotlight)
Feel free to share the standout titles for you each month as well

Re: Highlights of the Month
January standouts :
Saga #42: I missed this series when it first came out and breezed through the first two trades and I've been on single issues ever since. BKV is one of the few writers that can write for the trade and provide a great single issue experience. Powerful end to this arc and I agree with Drew it will probably make an appearance on my year end list as of right now
Manifest Destiny #25: The return of one of my favorite ongoing series. An oversized issue with a backup story. Art and writing on this book provide one of the best single issue experiences out there.
Motor Girl #3: Terry Moore has got my attention. Doing both the art and writing he pours his heart and soul into this creator owned series and it shows. Powerful writing.
Hawkeye #2: Ok sue me. I miss the Fraction Hawkeye series and I love the wittiness of Kate Bishop and self deprecating humor.
Best event: Justice League vs Suicide Squad. Fast paced, fun, only ties into two other books and over in six weeks. Marvel are you taking notes?

Re: Highlights of the Month
Still going through my February stuff but I have to say Fix #8 will be in the top 5. This book has me doubling over in laughter and hilarity every month. It seems to keep losing readers every month it did do well in trade on the first volume. The writing is so smart and characters so well fleshed out. Pretzels!

Re: Highlights of the Month
Four standouts for March would have to be Superman #18-19 and Action Comics #975-976. Man, Superman Reborn got real interesting real fast! Hopefully the repercussions will be great, but these four issues advance the Rebirth plot line and drop more bread crumbs to follow in the coming months of both series. Good art in these issues will also keep them in contention for best of the year in my opinion.
I read comic books for fun.
