Comichron's Examination of Returnable Comics' Final Numbers

Post by SpideySavestheDay »

Check out this blog post from Comichron. Interesting read for those who had questions about the effects of returnability on Diamonds' sales charts.

So according to their data - I see at least 11% more comics sold than initially reported and as much as 48%. That is quite a swing and it's ALL more than reported - there seems to be no reason for the reduction - diamond should just report numbers as ordered ( and keep the * )

I think if they report these numbers, they should also be able to designate which books voluntarily offered returnability and which ones were forced to because they were late. There's a bit of a difference.

Ohhhh yeah I had forgotten about that wrinkle - July numbers looked to be more asterisks than not, for what that's worth
