Re: Merry Christmas to all
Merry Christmas Drew, and to everyone here I hope you all experience a wonderful holiday season and a prosperous new year!
Comic related items I've gotten this year:
Devil Dinosaur omnibus HC
Marvel Masterworks #32 (Submariner vol 1) HC
Marvel Masterworks #125 (Inhumans vol 1) HC
Iron Fist Epic Collection SC
Anyone else get any comics-related gifts for the holidays?

To John, Drew, and fellow Comic Book Pagers,
Merry Christmas! (Mele Kalikimaka!)
Drew,
Thank you for starting this thread and wishing all of us a Merry Christmas.
You got some cool Christmas presents!
I got Masters of the Universe on Blu Ray.
This is one of my guilty pleasures from the 1980s. I know most people and critics didn't think it was a good movie (made by Cannon Studios. Home of some of the B, C, and D movies of the 1980s.) when it came out. I thought it was a great movie when I first rented this movie on VHS from a mom and pop video store. (Ha. Ha. I am really dating myself.)
I though Dolph Lundgren did a great job in this movie. (I can hear the snickers or "Huh?") But he was, I thought, surround by some strong actors of that time; such as, Frank Langelia (Skeleton), and Meg Foster (Evil-Lyn). I thought Langelia and Foster did a great job in this movie.
Of course Courteney Cox (Misfits of Science, Bruce Springsteen Music Video (I am dated myself) "Dancing In The Dark") was well known at that time. But there was a future Star Trek actor in this movie, Robert Duncan McNeil (Tom Paris of Star Trek: Voyager).
And for you Friends trivia buffs: Monica's (played by Courteney Cox) mother, Judy Geller (played by actress Christina Pickles), was in this movie. Christina Pickles played the Sorceress.
Everyone thank you for your time for letting walk back down memory lane.
I'm quoting Bralinator:
"Anyone else get any comics-related gifts for the holidays?"
I would love to hear them.
Aloha!
Jason

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone.
Among other things, I got some Captain America shield pillows and Christmas ornaments. I also got a Superman USB drive. One or two other comic book related gifts are on the way.
While not comic book related, I had some great lasagna on Christmas eve and have leftovers. Gluten-free, dairy-free lasagna is not easy to come by.

It's cool your wife got you a new microphone to use for your podcast.
And it is AWESOME that she supports you doing both podcasts (Comicbook Page and Comics For Fun And Profit).
Aloha!

(I'm not being sarcastic.) I'm glad you had a great dinner on Christmas Eve because I know you have food restrictions.
Aloha!

Supports is too strong a word - begrudgingly accepts with an eye roll is more like it [WebWiz4]MrAloha wrote: It's cool your wife got you a new microphone to use for your podcast.

It is a guilty pleasure for me as well. It has been released in its entirety for free on Youtube by the license owners, Paramount. It isn't blu-ray quality, but it is wide screen at 480pMrAloha wrote: Dear Bralinator,

Great gifts everyone!
I think "begrudgingly accepts" is probably the most common response of wives to comic book interests, so you're in good company Drew.drew102e wrote: Supports is too strong a word - begrudgingly accepts with an eye roll is more like it [WebWiz4]

Sweet!
You've been pimpin' that book since it hit the stands. I hope the creators know you've had their back this whole time.

You'll be pleased to know that I think the creators have hinted at another volume of this series. They're just taking a break for a bit. Check out their website here: http://www.humansforlife.com/blog/

Ha, that is awesome! I remember seeing it late at night once in the late 90s and loved it for being awful then as well. I never knew there was a blu ray of it. I'm going to have to hunt it down now.MrAloha wrote:
