Since the contents are more important to me than the cover, that was fine. But I can understand if it was the specific cover someone was interested in how that might not be okay for everyone.
I should also have used the terminology "incentive cover", as the ones I was after were 1:10 or 1:25 covers (available at a higher price), not an A/B/C cover that was separately orderable at the regular price.

Good point. Odds are that the covers they couldn't get for me were probably independently orderable covers and not retailer incentive covers.

Frankly, I don't get too worked up over the covers. I completely understand someone being upset if they specifically wanted and ordered a particular cover and didn't get it.

I tend not to order the variants from DCBS. Then again, I tend not to order variants period! :) Just add me to the chorus of people whose problems with DCBS have been few, far between, and always quickly and courteously resolved.

Have you emailed them? Maybe they got shorted by Diamond and have more copies coming. You won't know until you ask.
Yes, or at least, as Lenny suggested, checked your "UNSHIPPED ITEMS" list to see if they just didn't make this order? Not like DCBS to just ignore an order request (other than what Bob was saying about the variant issue)
Yah- I'd say the order of resolving this should be:

1) Look at the Shipment online to confirm that the missing books aren't listed on the shipment. If they are, then it's a packing error. If it's not listed there...

2) Look on your Order online to confirm you actually ordered it (perhaps you intended to, but forgot or didn't do it correctly). If it's not there, you can e-mail them and ask that they include the books in your next order. If it's there, make sure it doesn't have a red "x" next to it (for cancelled items). If it is there. . .

3) you can confirm that they are intending to ship it to you by checking "unshipped items." If it's there and and in your order then . . .

4) write to them and tell them it's listed on your order, that it came out at the LCS last week, but that you didn't get it and ask what's up.

Great advice, Lenny. That is pretty much what I do on the rare occasion I don't get something I'm expecting.

i checked and 2 of my red circles (revival, bat variant) are empty so they werent shipped but are still tentatively being processed i guess, one (hawkeye) is half red so i guess it will come in the next box?

sent 'em another email, I am sure they will respond, they have in the past

maybe i missed their pre-order cutoff date (3/3), it was my first DSBS order and i was a bit late

the sooner I know the better though Hawkeye wont be a problem to get but both LCSs i frequent dont carry many non-walking dead image comics

yep, that was it, I missed the deadline so they are going to cancel the unshipped items and refund the charges

so...operator error :(

On late orders, usually they will get more books in and you can just get them in your next shipment. Once in a while, they do not - then sometimes you can get a 2nd printing or just cancel.

They will never give you a 2nd print w/o first asking you if you want it. If a book is unavailable, they will ask if you want to cancel or get the 2nd printing (if its available).
