Recommendations you tried and enjoyed

Post by comicm »

Well I tried Wildguard trade from Image comics by Todd Nauck. During a previews call John recommended the new series and that prompted me to by the trade. I loved it I thought it was funny and loved the artwork. It was a very fun read. Thanks John. I also picked up #1 of the new series but have not read it yet.

I think that Wildguard is Todd Nauck's best work. The concept is great as was the execution. I'm glad you liked it.

I tried the Nicieza/Maguire issue of Batman Confidential (#17) as well as the Huntress Year One series based on listener suggestions.

I liked them both!!

I fully intend to get N-Guard when it goes to trade. To hear the creator talk about the additions, and the fact that financially things might be better by then. It was a no brainer.

There have been more than a few other books I have picked up thanks to the previews episodes. And most particularly Bob and John's Best of 2007 episode, kind of opened my eyes to some great titles.

In fact this is one of the better communities for that sort of thing, it is more than a thread saying I love Iron Fist, and a few follow ups that agree in kind. There is thought and reasoning, an understanding is established. It is really admirable, honestly. I know it might seem like I am over talking it a bit much, but with nearly every podcast I hear about something and right there is the potential for a new read.

I can understand that. I considered just waiting for the trade when I heard that it would have some extra stuff in it. But ultimately, I figured I'd support the monthly book.
