Re: John's Weekly Reading and Ratings

In today's Weekly Comics Spotlight you mentioned thinking that the Batman title would start to be present day stuff in line with Eternal, but in an interview with Newsarama http://www.newsarama.com/21585-scott-snyder-explains-endgame-batman-s-jump-to-post-eternal-continuity.html Scott Snyder talked ...

Re: Weekly Comic Spotlight

DC is trying a lot of different things to take advantage of the physical medium of comics so retailers don't lose customers. Things like the die-cut covers during DotF, this Superman poster, and the upcoming villains month covers. They seem to be experimenting to see how people like different things...

Re: DC announces plans for September and more

However in the Dido and Lee interview they clearly stated there would still only be 52 titles total, and that some books my not get a villain month issue. Just because these books seem to have an increase in the titles I don't think the total issues will increase. Based on just this information it ...

Re: New in your Silver/Bronze Age Collection

I recently found my dad's old collection of books. I'm not familiar with standard Silver/Bronze Age cutoff points, but the longest run was Avengers 119-168.

Re: DC canceling more titles

If nothing else, we should see four new titles in the next round of solicitations. Don't forget that the Batman Inc. ongoing is ending with issue 13. No new ongoing was solicited this month since there will be the Batman Inc. Special #1, but a fifth new title seems needed to take its place. (Why it...

Re: Weekly Comic Spotlight

I read the Channel 52 segment from my last DC book each week. I wouldn't care if they replaced it, but as it stands I enjoy seeing Ambush Bug.

DC One-Shots

Potential spoilers for Katana #3/4 and Phantom Stranger #7 Between PS#7 and Katana 3/4, Jack Ryder and Creeper have been introduced to the New52. I also understand he was mentioned early in Justice League International, but I could be mistaken. What caught me off guard though was in Katana #4 where ...

Re: DC Gatefold Covers

On the one hand, I like the general notion. On the other hand, it seems inherently flawed. Shouldn't the question posed by the cover be answered by the story inside and not a flip out continuation of the cover? That problem is part of why Wonder Woman stood out since it doesn't answer its own quest...

DC Gatefold Covers

What did you guys think of the different gatefold covers in general and did any stand out to you? In general I wasn't a fan, but some were pretty cool. I believe my favorite was Wonder Woman #19 since the main image can stand alone while the half behind the fold was surprising without feeling like a...

Re: "All-in"?

I'll be getting 28 of the DC new52 books this month. I'd be willing to go "All-in" with the new52 titles, but I've dropped many of the books because they didn't work for me such as Talon and Teen Titans. I try out all the first issues and even when I drop a book I'll check back for an issu...

Re: Introduce yourself!

Hi, my name is Brian and I started reading comics regularly with the launch of the New 52. I’m a 20 year old college student in Texas. I now get about 30 titles a month mostly from DC. I've started doing short reviews of what I read to be more critical of what I’m buying because I've started bumping...
