Starting in July with SUPERMAN #701 and WONDER WOMAN #601, superstar writer J. Michael Straczynski — a man who’s created layered and compelling characters and worlds on the big screen, on television and across the comic book spectrum — dives head-first into the DC Universe by taking the ongoing writing reins for two-thirds of the fabled DCU trinity.

We’ll have more details about who’ll be teaming with JMS on both titles — not to mention the exciting new directions he’ll be pointing our heroes toward — in the coming months. But today is about JMS and how he sees these great characters and what they stand for.
I hope we don't end up discovering that Superman really gets his powers from the living spirit of Rao, which will ultimately cause him to grow boney spikes out of his wrists......

Or worse yet, that Lois is having Luthor's baby.......

Yes, Bob was NOT a fan of JMS on Spider-Man, I hope he does not F*** up Superman similarly for a period of time, only to have subsequent writers completely ignore his run.....

When Simone leaves Wonder Woman so will I. I do not love the character enough to continue on after she leaves the book.

I was just talking with guys a Raging Bullets about how i hope New Krypton dosn't loose its original creators before the story finishes, if James is gone altogether with this news (not sure what his left doing) thats leaves Gates and Johns (who's doing background consulting after SO) hmmm

this will be the end of superman on my pull list more than likely and the occasional wonder woman issue I picked up will now be even less likely.

Bob, maybe DC's new CCO can influence the direction of the JMS books . . .

All I thought when I saw the news was, "Great, Wonder Woman just got preachy again"
