It going to be about DC heroes set in their new Multi-Player Online Game they are releasing from Sony.
And I thought Countdown was a big pile of pooh.

Given that I'm not playing the MMORPG, I can safely skip this one.

I find DC's decision to make this a weekly extremely ... odd. It will obviously make story telling / Editing easy as continuity doesn't need to be observed but by the same token, if it's not occurring in the DC Universe, I don't feel compelled to even give it a try. And I have a hard time believing (and could be outta the loop on this) that there's that many gamers who would pick up this book regardless of whether they are playing or not.
Suspect these will be in the 50 cent bin quicker than Countdown or Trinity were. And that's fast.

I haven't heard anything about this series other than what is here in this thread but it makes sense for this to be a weekly series. Odds are that they will be trying to tie the comic and the game together with in-game events that reflect events in the comics. Doing so pretty much requires a weekly frequency to prevent the game aspect from seeming stale.
That having been said, the decision to do the series at all seems questionable as game tie-in titles don't always do well.

I can see where this could be used as a promotional instrument ... the game has a tentative release date of 30 April .. to get existing DC readers to join the game. Maybe if it was priced at $1.99 and / or had some type of rebate / points tied to the game then it might gain some initial traction. But I just can't see this needing to be more than say, 12 weeks (?), worth of promotion. I can see the comic selling me on the game ... but not the game selling me on the comic.

It could be useful for those who only play games and know of Batman and Superman. I don't know how much pull a comic for a game has but as there have been a lot coming out over the last 4-5 years it must be mildly successful.
Also with it having the DCU involved it could have more crossover than the God of War, World of Warcraft or Dead Space comics.
