DC Resurrects "Dead" Titles.....

Post by BobBretall »

In their own version of the Images "Next Issue Project", DC will be putting out a next issue of a variety of previously defunct series during the Blackest Night skip month:

Each of the one-shots will take place in current continuity and will tie into Blackest Night by featuring at least one Black Lantern interacting with the title characters.

- The Power of Shazam! #48 by Eric Wallace
- The Question #37 by Greg Rucka
- Suicide Squad #67 by John Ostrander
- Phantom Stranger #42 by Peter Tomasi
- Catwoman #83 by Fabian Nicieza
- The Atom and Hawkman #46 by Geoff Johns
- Weird Western Tales #71 by Dan DiDio
- Starman #81 by James Robinson

Let me ask a stupid question. I have not been following Blackest Night so was the idea of a skip month announced a long time ago or is this the first time DC announced it?

I believe the idea of the "skip month" for the core BN series has been out there for a while.

Be that as it may, this was the first I'd realized there would be a skip month for it. But I haven't had time to keep up with the comic book news site lately either.

I thought I read a couple of months ago the idea of a "skip month" for BN. However, when DC says BN skip month, they only mean the main series, not the Green Lantern titles or BN mini series. Those are still coming out. IGN has a preview of those solicits, as well as, the solicits of the "dead titles".
