Just so you guys know, I had to temporarily "unpost" the episode for a bit last night to fix some audio glitches that Justin emailed me about. (Thanks, Justin.)

The problems weren't major but were annoying. There was some repetition in a few places and a few short sections missing.

It took me an hour or two to fix the problems but I got the episode re-uploaded and updated the time codes in the show notes. If you downloaded the episode prior to 12:01 AM (CT) on Monday, January 21th, 2008 then you might want to grab a fixed copy.

The problem seems to be with the Truncate Silence function in the version of Audacity that I'm using. Sometimes it works fine, other times it causes these sorts of audio glitches. I'm not sure what triggers the problem.

Sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

In the future, if/when you hear these sorts of audio glitches, please let me know and I'll do what I can to try and fix them.

I totally agree with you assessment of Hulk #1. When reading your review I was hoping I was going to disagree with your review but this was such a major disappointment. I thought I was going to like it because Bob stated he hated it but also hated the Bruce Jones run. I loved the Bruce Jones run so I thought I would like this book but boy was I wrong. I am going to stick with it like John and hope the story gets better but it was a lousy first issue.

The difference between this Hulk #1 and the Bruce Jones run is that even though the Hulk rarely appeared in some of those Bruce Jones issues, there was still a lot of story in those issues.

This first issue had neither the new red Hulk nor much of a story.

Hopefully we'll get both an appearance of the red Hulk and a story in the next issue.

1st arc was not so much "La Femme", but I can see subsequent arcs getting more like that as she begins doing missions for the organization.
