I expect that plot point will get undone before too long.

Do not worry there is always wiggle room so the character in question could return from the dead. Here is my evidence.
1). This particular character has 'died' before.
2). A key plot element from the character's last in-continuity appearance before Death of X was not discussed.
Also, I feel like Death of X and IvX is the inverse of Son of M and The Silent War. Death of X like Son of M were prequels in which the Terrigen Mist/Crystals were the big mcguffin. IvX and The Silent War are the open conflicts.
@tehkeizer - I think mutants will survive IvX. I can think of three potential outcomes.
1). A cure is found, the simplest solution least dramatic result. Mutants and Inhumans go back to co-existing.
2). There is a 'cure' that results in Mutant/Inhuman hybrids or a secondary/tertiary mutation. Mutants who did not get the 'cure'/evolve are forced to leave the planet. I could easily see a team of mutant/inhuman hybrids. However this would be a nightmare for people handling movie/tv rights.
3). No cure is found and mutants are forced to evacuate the planet. Rick Rememder was originally supposed to right Uncanny X-Men post Secret Wars. He wanted to take mutants into outer space in search of a new homeworld.

To be clear, though, I do not dislike this book. the art is good, the writing is good, i just dont like it when characters i like die.

Death of X's body is not even cold and Marvel is releasing info about line-ups and creative teams for Resurrexion titles (specifically X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold). There is also information about the shipping frequency

. Unfortunately, I think Marvel is potentially killing momentum coming out of Death of X and heading into IvX. If you are curious about X-Men Blue and X-Men Gold, check out this IGN interview -
http://www.ign.com/articles/2016/11/28/ ... s-revealed.
Beware this interview may contain IvX spoilers!

I was disappointed by the end of Death of X as I saw it coming from the first issue. No doubt that plot point will get undone before too long.

didnt see it coming in this way, though i never believed
oldscott was the villain here.
Rise, fall and rise again is a familiar cycle in comics so we will see him again

Not sure if this is the proper forum, but I posting this here because it is Death of X related. I hope Drew and John review Inhumans vs X-Men #1 on the podcast. I would love the know if their pleasure/displeasure is worth the $5.99 cover price (though I am sure DCBS is offer it for a lower price). I meant to add IvX to my pull list, but decided to wait because I was not overly impressed with Death of X. Before I decided to contact my LCS this afternoon, I happened to be on comiclist.com and noticed the sticker price. Even with the discount provided by my LCS, this may be a trade purchase instead of a floppy.

This is a good place to let us know what you would like for us to consider reviewing.
We've already picked Hawkeye #1 as the Marvel pick for that week. We might talk about IvX #1 a little in the general discussion segment of the episode.
We typically pick the items two weeks in advance. If the is a comic you'd like us to consider, let as know a few weeks before it is released. When Drew and I record on Tuesday, 2016-12-20, we'll be picking the items to review from the 2016-12-28 releases.
We're happy to consider items you all suggest. No promises we'll pick those items but suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you John. I appreciate the fact that you and Drew are willing to listen to suggestions. I always appreciate the commentary you and Drew provide on the titles selected. My post was purely a knee jerk reaction to the price tag, plus the price to satisfaction ratio is always an ongoing concern. I have been purchasing mutant titles prior to Fall of the Mutants; I do not ever recall feeling this concerned over making sure the amount of enjoyment validates the cost. Blame the times in which we purchase comics in.

How are you guys liking IvX? I am pleased so far. The #0 issue was done very well, exactly what a zero issue should do.
