Dwight MacPherson indicated on his blog that the "Dead Men Tell No Tales Trade Paperback is in danger of being canceled. We have ONE WEEK to get pre-orders in for the trade, and, if we don't get you and others you know to pre-order this book in that timeframe, it WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE IN SHOPS AND BOOKSTORES."

That is too bad. :(

In a world where Proof can't sell 3,000 copies, it's hard not to get discouraged as a fan of anything outside of the Big 2's purview.

I read the Kid Houdini GN on the plane ride out to Denver the other day, and liked it. The only problem I had was that I didn't really see why it needs to be Harry Houdini as a kid (except maybe pulling in audience based on the Houdini name). From my (admittedly superficial) knowledge of Houdini, I always thought he really disbelieved in "real/supernatural" magic & spiritualism, so it was kind of disconcerting to have Kid Houdini casting magi spells & flying around on a carpet.
