TFAW Black November sale: 60-70-80% off

Post by BobBretall »

http://www.tfaw.com/promos/black-days/

it's currently at 60% off, moves to 70% off on Sunday, and then tops out at 80% off on Black Friday.....

I found this one code for free shipping: FDS50 but you need to spend >$50 & it only works on comics & GNs (e.g. not on statues, busts, etc).

In the past there have been codes without this restriction, if anyone comes across any other codes, please share them here.

That's a recent Bowen statue, it's not on the BIG sale, it's only 10% off, I suspect you can get it cheaper than that somewhere else.

I might actually wait for 80 percent off. I usually dive in at 70 and I started looking today but there is still so much to wade through.

It is a nice statue. I had one that a customer preordered pass through the shop (he got it for 20% off if I recall). Between that and some of the other recent statues that I have seen come through, I'm really tempted to start collecting them :)
We now have digital comics for sale. Check out our shop

To each his own, but I would think Original Art provides a much better return. Though I might eventually add one or two statues to my office just to improve the look.

Statues are definite addiction...if you're not careful you can end up going way overboard on them. My wife nearly called an intervention and I had to promise her I'd be more selective down the road. :)

Then again, original art is also an addiction. Why not enjoy the best of both worlds? :)

If you want to get the 80%, I suggest getting on TFAW's site right when it flips to 80%, or soon after. It seems like a lot people jump on there at midnight to pick stuff up. The stuff will be picked over the next day. There site is nice because you can save your cart if you sign up for an account. Then you just click on check out when you are ready to.

Does the TFAW discount level change at Midnight pacific time? I thought I read somewhere that it changes at 8am pacific.

Anyway, I currently have $363 of stuff in my cart, which will drop down by an extra $120 when the extra 10% discount kicks in. Well worth waiting for. Could go lower if some of the stuff is bought up before I get to it, but that's OK.

When it flipped from 60% to 70% off, it happened at midnight, 12:01am Pacific time (3am Eastern). At least that's what one of TFAW's last email blasts said. Maybe it's different on "Black Friday."

Good to know. When they were trolling for increased Facebook/Twitter followers to get the discount early, they said they'd activate it at 8am pacific. This didn't happen, though.

I'll probably be out at Best Buy at Midnight.....I'll check my shopping cart when I get home.

I ordered a few SM books for my oldest, can't beat a trade for 3 bucks and those digest ones for under 3. He just loves them and they are cheap enough if they fall apart its no biggie.

There have got to be a RIDICULOUS amount of people on the TFAW site now that the discount has gone to 80%

It's taking 5-10 minutes to respond to each page-transition mouse click......

Been waiting to get to my shopping cart for a LOOOONG time.
