Glad that you guys both liked Ultimate X #5. For me this is my issue of the year so far. Some may say that the point of view character was gimmicky but I enjoyed it.

My understanding of this title was that it was supposed to be a bi-monthly ongoing. Adams got late, no surprise really, but it was due to him and his wife having a child recently. I think given that the Ultimate U hasn't taken off post Ultimatum, they decided to revamp the creative teams under Johnathon Hickman, Scott Snyder and Bendis. So Ultimate X was a casualty of lateness and creative direction I think.

The new title is a continuation of the Ultimate X title with the characters from that, now mini, appearing in the monthly book.

I loved Adams' art on this book. Some of his best work in my opinion. Also as you guys stated this is Jeph Loeb from 8 years ago. His storytelling and writing style for this books were well done.
