Bob, I thought you might want to get in on this....
If you missed ordering Walt Simonson's MIGHTY THOR Artist Edition last month through PREVIEWS (with a discount), you can still order it for full price here....
https://shop.idwpublishing.com/walter-s ... ck-up.html
But if you will be in San Diego in July, you can order and pick up at the show the variant cover version.....

Personally, I like the normal cover better.
Also, IDW plans on putting out a collected version of Dave Stevens' sketchbook series. He put out 4 sketchbooks for sale at conventions between 2002 and 2005. IDW is collecting them with more material. Again, if you missed ordering it through PREVIEWS last month, you can order it here.....

Or, if in San Diego, they will have a variant cover for pick up. The cover is much better, IMO, and limited to 300 copies....

IDW is really doing a great job with these books.

What was the price for the Simonson Thor Artist's Edition pre-order at DCBS?
Westfield had it listed as cover price, $100.00, their pre-order price $90.00.
TFAW had it listed as cover price $120.00, their price $96.00.
Midtown says regular price $125.00, your price $106.25.
Tales of Wonder says retail price: $129.99, our price $112.49.
I thought cover price was $100?
Is it the case, as with the Rocketeer book, that the discount was less than normal, so lots of shops were charging over cover price?
I'll probably order it through IDW direct.

The Thor version wasn't a "Must Have" like the Rocketeer version so it got cut from my DCBS list last month when things were getting too expensive. I decided to have a change of heart and ordered it for pick up at the con. I do like the regular version cover better (the opposite with the Dave Stevens sketchbook though) but did order the variant. My thinking was, if I didn't care for the Thor book that much, the variant might have more resell value.

On the Dave Stevens book, I decided to skip it on my DCBS order, but I like the con variant cover with Dave's self-portrait, so I just ordered it from IDW for con pick-up.
