Heroes for Hire

Post by cgenro »

Just finished reading issue #8 and I just had to come on here and sing the praises of this series.

I`m not sure what everyone else thinks about this title but I think this may be my top superhero book being published right now! This has everything that I love about my comic books. Great writing, top notch art, lots of action, humour and a cast of really interesting main and rotating characters. If you haven`t given this book a chance yet then give this a try even if it`s the first arc.

I really enjoyed the first story arc but the second arc was even better. Misty and Paladin were characters I really didn`t know much about going in to this series but their banter is just great stuff. I really hope we get a long run as these lower tier books usually don`t have a very long shelf life.

I agree. This is a great book that seems to be flying under people's radar. The first arc having the return of the Puppet Master was really something that helped this book stand out for me.

I do highly recommend this to people that like super heroes, but may want to try out a book with under exposed characters.

I too have been enjoying this title. Question: Didn't Puppet Master die over in Ms. Marvel towards the end of the title? When/where did he come back?

add me to the list of H4H lovers.... DnA have just got something when it comes to team books.

Legion Lost/Legion, Guardians of the Galaxy, the Authority and now Heroes 4 Hire. They had great runs on them all.

The book is really good. It has a great balance of humor and action. The only problem I had was the art on the final two chapters of the Puppet Master arc. I can understand if Brad Walker can not keep up with a monthly schedule, but if they are going to replace him it should match up better. They did a much better job in using Tim Seeley to fill in for the Spider-man story recently.
