I know John and Bob read a lot of titles so I'm wondering if they, and any others, have titles that they sit on until they have a few ready before reading? And for mini-series, do you read the first one and if you like it do you wait until it's finished?

I just read Memoir and Infinite Vacation and like both, but I'm wondering if I'll forget anything over the month or so between issues due to reading all my other titles. I'm sure it's nothing you can't pick up, but I may do it anyway.

Halcyon I'm sitting on for a few more issues probably, that's the only ongoing one that I'll probably wait on due to the nature of the story and characters being introduced.

I try to read everything the week it comes out. That having been said, there area few things that stack up before I get to them.

I've been stockpiling a lot of Top Cow comics while I've gotten the back issues of Witchblade. Now that I have the issues I want, I need to find time to read through them and shift Top Cow from a backlog back into the current. (But I am staying current on Artifacts and the Darknes Four Horsemen miniseries.)

another publisher that I tend to let pile up is Radical. They tend to have longer issues and I find the mini-series from them can benefit from reading in a single sitting so I let them stack up so I can do that.

But that are the exceptions cases. I try to stay current on everything else.

Not to mention their 3-4 months between issues. I just bought Ryder 1,2, Driver for the Dead 1,2, and all the Hotwire back issues. I was amazed to see the release dates on those. Hopefully Driver and Ryder's final issue comes out this month.

I will tend to let almost all comics pile up because I buy so many titles. I buy as many books as Bob and John.

Driver for the Dead #3 either just came out or should be out this week or next.

I let books pile up like Mike, though I will try to read #1 very soon after it comes out. I do this (read the #1s quickly) because I want to see if I like the title.

Many times, instead of ordering every issue blind, I'll only order the #1 issue on a "try out" basis. I read that #1 so that I can shoot an e-mail off to DCBS to add the #2/3 to my pull list if I like the series. On the other side of the fence, if I assume I'm going to like a series and pre-order it blind, the #3 is generally on the "live order" when I read #1. If I don't like it I can go in and pull #3 off. I've done this recently.

A really good comic will stick in your mind.

But a really good comic you'll also want to read again just before the next issue.

Driver For The Dead #3 for example. I had to take a look at the releases date over at comicbookrealm to see how long ago it was. I can't actuall believe it was as long ago as Late September, but the story has stuck in my mind and I'm pumped for this weeks issue.

I try to read most issues the week they come out; it just works well for me. I have however found that I need to reread the last issue or the whole thing of mini-series with long breaks between issues. For the most part however I try to stay current reading all books the week they come out.

I like to keep current with all things DC, so I read my DC titles as they come out. I let the Marvel titles stack up for awhile and read them later. If a book is always late then I wait until I have them all. Remember All Star Batman and Robin? I think it was almost two years for those 9 issues to come out. So I just let em pile up and gather dust.

Some things, like Infinite Crisis or Blackest Night, I read as it comes out and then re-read them all again once it is complete. I am always surprised how much I missed when I went back and re-read it!

For Marvel unless it is a big event or something cosmic I have switched to getting Minis in trades. Besides the quick turn around for trades they also do a lot of oversized Hardcovers that I like.

For indies if I am buying the title I usually read them when they come out give or take a week.
