Tanga offers a selection of Batman comics 1-year subscriptions for $11.99 each. That's $1/issue and the best deal we could find on these titles by at least $6. Each title includes 12 issues. The comics:
Batman: The Dark Knight 1-Year Subscription (pictured) for $11.99
Batman 1-Year Subscription for $11.99
Batman and Robin 1-Year Subscription for $11.99
Catwoman 1-Year Subscription for $11.99

Awesome! Thanks for the heads up. I was dropping Batman because of the $3.99 price point, but this bypasses that. Plus now I can get Batman & Robin even though I'm not completely sold on the art.

Most DC Comics available next 2 - 3 days cheap

Most of the comics DC offers via subscription are available cheap ($12 - $14 for 12 issues) at the link below. Sorry, but I never turn down a book for a buck.

Jonah, you da' bomb. Or da' man. Or da' something. My little budget app wonders how I have negative money, but since I'll be able to remove these from my monthly orders for the next 12 months it will all work out OK. Thanks for looking out!

Here's what I subscribed to:

Books I was going to collect anyway:
Superman the Comic Subscription
$12.99
Aquaman Comic Subscription
$13.99

Books I wanted to collect but am sick of $3.99 prices from the big 2 on large print run books:
Justice League America Comic Subscription
$13.99
Detective Comics Subscription
$12.99
Action Comics Superman Comic Subscription
$11.99

Books I like but am only willing to pay a buck a book:
Wonder Woman the Comic Subscription
$12.99
Batman: The Dark Knight Comic Subscription
$11.99
The Green Lantern Comic Subscription
$11.99

Well, I can't pass that offer up - it comes out to about $8-10 cheaper than going through DCBS. I picked up Wonder Woman, Aquaman and Justice League. $40 for three subscriptions.

On a follow up question for those of you who have received books from them already:

- How's the quality? Are they left to the mercy of the USPS deliverer? Are they mailed flat?

- Is the shipment coming from DC or Tanga? I'm guessing they're just acting as a discount reseller or "middle-person".

Shipped flat from DC's subscription fulfillment head quarters in Texas. You're really at the mercy of the postal system as to what condition they arrive in. My are typically in very fine condition. Occasional bent corner is the worst I think I've suffered. I don't bag and board so not an issue to me.

I agree. They are in plastic but not boarded so they tend to get bent a little here and there. Do not expect NM books via the USPS. I have bought subscriptions through Tanga before and I tend to accept the condition issues considering the lower price.

Thanks for the info. I'm a reader, not a collector, so I think I've found a good source for my funnybooks outside of DCBS. Heck, once the subscription starts I may actually get some of these books before my DCBS box shows up.

One thing of interest to note concerning this sale ... and I haven't seen this before.

The countdown counter at the top of the page does not match up with the countdown counter on each issue (roll your cursor over the cover to see the countdown).

So I'm wondering if there may be another selection of books (they're only soliciting 11 of the 3x DC offers) once the individual issues hit 0. Maybe be worth checking back tomorrow.

NEVER MIND. They just reset the counters on the individual issues. Still good until tomorrow at 10 EST.
