Got my 1st job back last Friday & I'll say it's pretty identical in quality to Library Binding Co., I'm pretty happy with it. It was the complete Crux series from Crossgen. I'm close to having the entire output of Crossgen bound at this point.

Price was $23 (inclusive of shipping & tax) so pretty reasonable.

I'll be sending in some more stuff to be bound now.....

Just an FYI, they're not set up to do credit cards yet, so you need to pay by check or money order..... but on the plus side, you do not need to pay in advance.

Glad to hear they did a good job.

Since they are in my area I might have to drop off a couple of projects for them to bind.

Any chance we could see a few pics of the newly bound stuff?

Got my first bounded book today and I'm quite pleased with the finished product. I found the reference from this link: http://www.thecomicforums.com/forum2/in ... pic=172046

I missed to specify the headbands (3rd image below), and would definitely select the option for future books.

I'm still trying to decide if I should try over sewn binding. Gutters are lost for glued binding, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

Looking forward to fill my bookshelves of bounded collections and get rid of the long boxes.

Wow, that looks really good.

I sent in something to be bound as well, but have not yet received it. When I do I will take a couple of pics and post it, but I am very optimistic at this point.

JC: those look great.

I still need to dig out my spare set of Who's Who and Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe and get those bound at some point.

I know binding comics is for enjoyment only, but has anyone thought about if there is a demand for this at all? Looking at the quality of these books I can't help but think people would pay a high price to have, say, Conan vol. 1 all collected in a nice bound set.

I did a quick look on ebay and couldn't find anything, but probably because i'm not sure what to search for.

Just curious about this because it could actually be a way to sell off less desirable comics for more than what they're worth possibly. It wouldn't be something you'd do solely to make money because you probably wouldn't if you purchased issues to do this, but if you had stuff laying around and wanted to get rid of it, pay a little extra to bind them and try selling it that way.

Reviving this thread!

I'm currently working on putting together a Master of Kung Fu bind. This will likely never be reprinted due to copyrights from the Sax Rohmer estate, but is great stuff. I need to snag 1 or 2 more early issues before I'm off to the races.

I'll likely bind the main stuff in order, and splice in the stuff in parentheses in approximately that location where they don't seem to break up story momentum in the normal MOKF title.

Special Marvel Edition #15-16
MOKF #17-20 (GS Spider-Man #2 goes around here somewhere)
MOKF #21-22 (GS MOKF #2)
MOKF #23-25 (GS MOKF #3)
MOKF #26-28 (GS MOKF #4)
MOKF #29-47 (MOKF Annual #1)
MOKF #48-53 (Marvel Two-In-One #29)
MOKF #54-78 (Marvel Team-Up #84-85, What If #16)
MOKF #79-120 (ROM #38-39)
MOKF #121-125
Marvel Comics Presents #1-8 (Just the MOKF stories)
MOKF: Bleeding Black #1
Moon Knight Special #1 **Not sure if I want to include**
Captain America #412-414 **Not sure if I want to include**
Marvel Comics Presents #156-158 (just the MOKF stories)
Daredevil Annual #10 **Not sure if I want to include**
X-Men #62-64 **Not sure if I want to include**
Journey Into Mystery #514-516
Elektra #16 **Not sure if I want to include**
Heroes for Hire #18-19 **Not sure if I want to include**
Shang Chi Master of Kung Fu #1-6
Shang Chi Master of Kung Fu One Shot (B&W)

I'm thinking of ending it with the B&W one-shot. Then I'll have a complete "Fu Manchu Era" MOKF, skipping the more recent stuff (Spider Island, Secret Avengers, etc. where his Dad is no longer Fu Manchu).

There are a number of other comics where he make cameo appearances that came out after the 1st run series ended & I've not decided if I want to slide those in or not, basically a short appearance in an otherwise super-hero comic. Those are noted as such above.

Let me know if I missed anything major.

I was thinking about doing a binder project of some of favorite comics when I was kid that I know will not be collected. One that I started to collect back issues of was Micronauts. The original series was 59 issues, plus a 4 issue team up with X-Men and two annuals. Because of right issues, this book will never be reprinted.

Another book that I am thinking of binding is the first 18 issues (annual #1) of Fury of Firestorm. I liked the book when Gerry Conway was writing and loved the first two years of the book. Most of these issues were drawn by Pat Broderick, who was, and still is, my favorite Firestorm artist. I have all but a couple issues of the books I want to bind.
