I read somewhere that Star Wars #1 might be available at the various Disney parks or something like that. I don't know if they will be for sale or just given out. Either way, I agree that this comic has the potential of getting a lot of new/lapsed readers into comics and that is a great thing.

Bringing in a ton of new readers is potentially much more rewarding and profitable for both Marvel and the entire industry than any number of copies sold on a single issue.

With 61 covers being produced, many for retailers' stores, they have to decide whether to buy enough copies to qualify for their store's cover. Examining the economics of the situation this article explains the dilemma of ordering variants.
