OK, my order is in. Mostly statue stuff to fill my shelves......actually stuff I had been keeping an eye out for that is CONSIDERABLY cheaper here than anyplace else I have seen it......

Kotobukiya Fantastic Four Movie Thing Fine Art Bust $31.99 (This rounds out my set of Kotobukiya movie busts)
Usagi Yojimbo Katsuichi Statue $35.99 (I picked up the matching Usagi & Jotaro statues at WonderCon)
Classic Comic Book Character #10: The Goon $19.98
Classic Comic Book Characters #8: Grendel $19.98 (I have 8 other syroco style mini-statues from this set, so these will add to those)
Mister X Archives HC $31.98 (This was a cool, groundbreaking series, could not pass up the HC for 60% off)

Only thing that sucks about TFAW is people in CA are the only people in the US who have to pay sales tax under any circumstances. They are mostly located in Oregon, where there is no sales tax, so you can walk into a store there & buy something with no tax. MOST times, out of state online purchases have no tax. HOWEVER, they have a TFAW store in the Universal Citywalk up in LA, so since they have a physical business presence in CA, CA customers have to pay out 10% sales tax on purchases......BAH! (Still got a good deal.....)

awesome! I knew you'd come through with the shipping code, Bob.

I'm going to bottom feed on the sale next week. There is too much to troll through for me this week.

Bob, I hate you for showing me this. :)

My goal for September was not to buy ANY comics this month with the exception of my monthly DCBS order. It was a test of willpower. It was my route to getting a Green ring. And then THIS comes along! And dammit, they have books I "need" for my trade runs.

Ohhhh, this sucks...better switch out that green ring for an orange one... :)

I only have 2 lantern corps shirts to wear.....

Red - while driving or listening to politicians

Orange - most anytime else, especially when shopping online.

If Janine sees me putting on that orange shirt & heading for the computer, she knows the bank account is in for some bruising......

Well, I broke down...

I couldn't pass up the Hippolyta WDCU statue. Didn't want it for $50, but $20? Yeah, that's a keeper.

Picked up some Marvel trades as well. I'll keep my DCBS order low to counter it...

Why are there always sales when I'm cash-strapped? Whenever I HAVE cash to blow, there's nothing...it's like a ghost town. :)

Man, lots of people laying in wait for that 70% off....... the web-site was SLOOOOOOOW at midnight pacific time.....

I double dipped and did a 2nd order on some stuff I passed up @ 60% off. 2 of the 5 things I picked up at 60% off were no longer available, so I don't regret making that order. Created a 2nd account using my wife's name/cc so I could use the ZOMBIES discount code again!

Got a couple more of the siroco-style comic mini-statues and a start to a Conan Bust collection.

Classic Comic Book Character #11: Ghost $14.98
Classic Comic Book Character #9: Cutter $14.98
Indiana Jones Temple Of Doom Mini Bust $16.50
Savage Sword Collection Bust #1: Conan $16.49
Savage Sword Collection Bust #2: Kull $17.99
Savage Sword Collection Bust #3: Conan $17.99
Al Capp's Complete Shmoo: The Comic Books $14.98

And Al, I was thinking of snagging one of those Hippolyta Women of the DCU statues you got, it was there this afternoon, but was GONE, GONE, GONE later in the evening, even a few hours before the 70% sale kicked in.

I'm glad I ordered when I did, then. I figured a lot of stuff would be gone come Monday when I go on my second dip, which is why I went ahead and ordered when they were at 60%.

Create a 2nd account in your wife's name if you want to double-dip so you can use the keyword for free shipping again. It can only be used once per account.

These sales are thanks to the 1 for a $1 promotion from DH. I was finally able to try The Goon easily. Now I only need the first 2 trades -- are they out of print?
