Nicki's Fangirl Room

Post by neenjah »

Hey, thought I'd share some photos from my girlfriend Nicki's fangirl room. She said it was ok to. ;)

Image

It's also her home office. Once we officially start living together I'll have my new bat-cave just down the hall.

Image

First shelf-

This is Nicki adding a few new items after Christmas.

Top shelf- some DC Barbies and Batgirl action figures and Heroclix.

Image
Just below that some of her Wonder Woman and Birds of Prey figs. Below that some trades, KOTOR Heroclix of Zayne and Jarael, and a pic of her and her friend Traci with KOTOR writer John Jackson Miller at Midsouthcon.

Her cat "Jarael".

Her art portfolios-

Star Wars comic pages.

She's got a couple long boxes in the closet, along with some more collectibles that aren't on display. She also keeps track of her comics, bags/boards them, and has her collection and want list on her phone so we know what she needs/doesn't need when we go bargain bin diving.

A few shots of some of my collection. Most are boxed up now.

Image

Image
Spidey in the back room/nursery.

Image

Image
Old Batcave in the middle bedroom.

Image
My first Bat-collectible. It was on my 3rd birthday cake. Got it and some other figures in a spinning watch display case.

Image

Image
Set of three Superman figures- two of them were on my 4th or 5th birthday cake. I found the third one (pink shirt) at a flea market about 30 years later for a buck.

Well, right now my batcave and Spidey rooms look a lot like the last warehouse scene in Raiders of the Lost Ark! I'll be sure to take pics of the new batcave as we work on it. I want it to be more quality than quantity. Mostly statues, model kits, batmobiles, batarangs, and a few framed art pieces and maybe a few pics with some of the 60's cast.

Just got this print from my friends Steve Stanley (artist) and Stephanie Perrin (a Metropolis friend). I've been wanting to buy a print of this from Steve for about 2 years or so now and he kept putting me off or ignoring me about it. Steph knew I wanted it and bought it last year for me and was going to give it to me at the Superman Celebration in Metropolis this summer and forgot. She ended up sending it to me for my birthday last month. :)

Quite the two collections. So many cool things. Loved the Vader helmet figure case. I remember having one of those as a kid.

And here I thought my man-cave was overcrowded.

Is there such a thing as an overcrowded man-cave though....really? :)

Damn I love it!

I'm going to have to get some pictures of my new room when I get some time and get it finished...

If only I had as much good stuff.

I also just got the Vader Build a Bear outfit which my wife is going to get the kids to build a bear for my Birthday since my son already built me a Batman one.

We got the clone trooper outfit as well for one of his bears and I noticed on www.buildabear.com there is a Jedi and Anakin outfit as well

Those are two pretty huge collections!

And, hey, a picture with John Jackson Miller, one of the elite Super Fan Spotlight interviewees. (I like those episodes a lot.)

Now you need to get photos with the other four ...
