Older Characters

So I am a huge Spectre, Vision, and Deadman fan. For some reason I find myself enjoying emotionally unavailable weird characters who don't really care about humanity. So I am wondering if these characters will ever have their own run again as they did in the 80's and 90's. A friend of mine said the popularity wasn't there for them and therefore were cancelled. So what is a fan to do? Are there any similar characters out there that anyone can recommend?
