Dear Captain Zorikh,
The NY Wintercon line up looks great!
Re: The Warriors cast
It's too bad David Patrick Kelly couldn't attend. How he delivered that one line (I think it's, "Warriors. Come out and play.") is so classic.
I haven't full watched the movie since it was released in the '70s.
Re: Comic book artist
It's cool that Paris Cullens will be there. I loved his work on the Blue Beetle series when it came out in the '80s. His art on the series was full of energy and fun.
Have fun at the convention.
If you get a chance, let us know how the convention went.
Aloha!

let you know. I will try to also put a full wrap=up of convention reports from around the interwebs on the Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/bigappleconvention
The Warriors have a sort of "alumni society" that goes from event to event together. I am guessing that David Patrick Kelly is not in that group. Maybe its because his career has gone in different places than most of the resst of the guys, I don't know. But from his work in everything from Commando to Strictly Business to the TV broadcast of Shakespeare's 12th Night with Helen Hunt, I would love to see him at a con!

The event was a big success! The Warriors got a nice crowd, but the line for Peter Mayhew lasted all weekend long! The rebel pilots drew a lot of hard-core Star Wars fans, and the Road Warrior wastelanders were there in force!
I got all the Star Wars guests to sign my copy of the Marvel Comics adaptation of the original movie from 1977, I got all the Road Warrior guests to sign their pictures in my copy of the book "Cult Movies 3." and I got Geroge Lazenby to sign his picture in that book as well!
The "Zombies vs. Road Warrior" was not as intellectual as past years' "Zombies vs. Vampires or as geeky as Zombies vs. Star Wars." It was a more guttural, brutal, earthy debate on the superiority of the denizens and survivors of their respective apocalypses (video to be posted soon).
The cosplay contest had so many contestants it lasted about two hours! There are lots of photos on the Interwebs of them to see.
There was a wonderfully eclectic collection of dealers present. I was able to pick up some comics from the 197's at a great bargain as well as some nifty Star WArs jewelry and
