Hi, newbie here. Am I able to simply record into my iPhone? When doing so, I get audio file type of MPEG-4 and I'm not sure how to convert this into the requested MP3 type.

Any hints?

You can record on your iPhone. It will produce an M4A file. A few people already send in those kinds of files. I typically use an online converter to convert them into MP3.
