Here are a lot more pictures of the event, including some pictures up in my comic room, taken by one of the guys (Michael Hamersky) who helped audit the collection. He did a very thorough job, pulling out several boxes & counting the contents as well as pulling random issues out of the database & making me produce them from the boxes they were supposed to be in!

He also did his own Blog entry on the event:

By the looks of that comics room I'd say you may have a few more Guinness record eligible collections in there. Wow.

Here are a few more pics from Saturday that I found up on Facebook. The group from the UCI (University of California, Irvine) Doctor Who club clutching some of their free comics!

Bob,

If nothing else this makes for a grand exit for you from the show!

How many years of 'collecting' (more like hoarding) have you been at it?

I love how you were wearing the Orange Lantern ring (MINE!)

Congratulations on the accomplishment, whether Guiness authorizes it or not.

And you wife has to be one very tolerant and accomodating woman, mine barely lets me keep 2 long boxes before 'they've got to go!'.
