Justice League Dark #9: If you stopped reading this, you should pick this issues up and try again. Jeff Lemire takes over, there's a new lineup, and the story so far is great. The art was never a problem so now that we have a clear direction and a great premise, I'm excited to read more. This is what I was expecting the title to be like the whole time, so I'm glad I stuck in there.

I did pick it up after having dropped the series. I wish I loved it as much as you did. It was OK, but not a 5/5 for me.

American Vampire: Lord of Nightmares #2. Scott Synder already has a great mythology going with his vampires but he adds to it beautifully in this issue. I love how every story of his ties into the greater story in some way, just like we see towards the end of this issue.

I could probably put almost every American Vampire book in this thread but this issue really stood out for me.

Hawkeye #2: From the artistic standpoint the design work is amazing. Every panel in the issue had seemed like it was laid out with thoughtful precision. The teaming up of the Hawkeyes (Clint and Kate) was really inspired. There is a reason Clint let Kate keep the Hawkeye identity and this issue goes a long way to explaining why.

All around a really awesome issue.
