need feedback on these books...
I love getting recommendations from this forum ... I finished reading The Sword omnibus in one sitting and the gigantic 75 years of DC Comics is a lovely fixture in my comic library.
I browsed my local bookstore today and the following hardcover books caught my interest:
The Alchemist
Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Tales
Wasteland
The Secret History
Tom Strong Deluxe
Grandville Mon Amour
Talisman
Would you have any thoughts on any of these books before I order them? Anything above you wouldn't recommend?

I just recently got into Tom Strong from the latest mini that just came out. Since that read I am also looking forward to reading Tom Strong Deluxe.

Agreed on Tom Strong.
I also like the Secret History & Wasterland series (I collect both those right now in the HC collections).
Secret History is a European comic that's great for "alternate history of the world" fans.
Wasteland is a very well done "post apocalyptic" story, but have a browse through the art, which is stylistically different from what is "standard" comics art just to make sure it's aesthetically pleasing to your eye.

I'd recommend Tom Strong and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I haven't read the others.JC wrote:I love getting recommendations from this forum ... I finished reading The Sword omnibus in one sitting and the gigantic 75 years of DC Comics is a lovely fixture in my comic library.

Tom Strong is certainly worth a try. I really enjoyed the first two books:

Alan Weiss's artwork is amazing in book 2.
