Topps' Star Wars Galaxy 6 to feature some of my sketchcards

Post by neenjah »

I've been working on some more sketchcards for Topps-this time it's a Galaxy set which means I can draw any Star Wars characters.

Here are a few that have been approved.

Nice work !

I couldnt resist having a look through some of your other stuff on your website. Wow you are talented at capturing people. I love your black and white character portraits.

Thanks- I dig doing monster portraits, and had a lot of fun doing the Sherlock ones this year.

Got a few more approved cards to share...

Haven't done any puzzle cards, but did do the cantina band alike.

They can be collected together as a band or be fine solo.

Derric Curran from Fox13 here stopped by the house on Monday to interview me about airbrushing. My two minutes of fame are up on their site now-

It appeared a couple of times on Fox 13's Good Morning Memphis show here today.

Thanks, Yoda can be tricky to draw. When I did the one for the ESB set from the scene where he tells Luke, "You will be...you WILL be!" he just wasn't looking right. Then I realized he was cross-eyed in that scene and that's what helped him look scary!

Still having a love/hate relationship with the cardstock. Love the no watermark background, but hate that it doesn't take markers easily. It can create some cool background and texture effects, though.

It has been fun drawing cantina creatures and other aliens!
