I get about 40-50 comics a month. I have a family (wife, 2 young boys 3 and 7), I have no time at all during the day like i used to. I read 2-4 every night when I go to bed, usually until I can’t keep my eyes open. I have my DCBS box of comics sent to my work address. (Twice monthly) So I will read ...

LCS Closing

Went today to go to one of my LSC in Southington, Connecticut "Fables Comic book Shop". I haven’t been there is a few months (I buy most of my comics from DCBS), but when I got there it was closed (for good). I really liked that store, they always had a great selection and I always found w...

Comic Collector

I have been using Comic Collector for a few years now and like it. Yes the initial setup of inputting ALL your comics is daunting, but once they’re in its great to quickly look things up. They now have an APP for the iPhone/iPod which I love. Now when I go to small comic shows and I’m looking for ce...

I asked Joe Sinnott how it was working with Jack Kirby back in the day. He told me that he worked with Jack Kirby for 20 years before he actaully met him. That made my day hearing old time stores, that maybe nobody knows about.

Flash Point miniseries

I was hoping for something cool with this series but whole story seems "almost" like the Trinity weekly that they came out with last year and I wasnt into that either. I'm in the same boat, these miniseries issues dont look exciting at all. I will be getting the main series and thats it fo...

J.G. Jones

And J.G. Jones was just going to take over the writing for Doc Savage. I was looking forward to seeing the writing chops (love his art). Oh well. You think they would have cancelled it BEFORE he started.

Thanks Bob and John for the replies. When I'm listening to your show, I sometimes get an opinion on something you’re talking about and try to convey it here in the forum. Thanks for giving me the time. Keep up the great work on the podcasts.

Mayo Report: 2011-01 Comics

January Mayo Report: Just a thought about sales of Fantastic Four 587; Out of the 115,000 sold, I'm thinking that most people (including me) bought (2) issues of Fantastic Four 587. So maybe only 1/2 of the 115,000 (57,500) units sold to individuals, maybe even less. I really dont think 115,00 diffe...

I'm in the boat that they should have some "overall" corps comic (maybe even an anthology, with stories about ALL the colored lanterns. I'm sure some readers like the Red but someone might like the Yellow better. I'll try the first one out then take it from there. Thanks.
