Re: DC cancels more titles

I think we can get more original, better, non-superhero content from other publishers. Image has something for every single, thinking, English-reading human being. Dark Horse and IDW do licensed characters better. Avatar and others push the envelope more than DC or Marvel would ever even contemplat...

What is the deal with "FANTASTIC FOUR #5AU" and "SUPERIOR SPIDER-MAN #6AU"? It just means that FF #5 is part of the "Age of Ultron" event. No indication that it's a particular story chapter, just that it will involve bits of the AU story. Sometimes this story connectio...

Re: Superior Spider-Man

I'm starting to get worried. I started & stopped worrying when they announced Superior Spider-Man was not Perter Parker.... Whatever the character does, including what is shown in that image, is of no consequence to me. Really stresses how different he is from Peter, though. Which will make it ...

Bryan Hitch's Mavel comics

Bryan Hitch's words from CBR On Age of Ultron: "It was originally a one-shot that became 12.1 and expanded constantly... I only found out it had become a ten-issue series when I saw the recent announcements." On Marvel's Creative process: "Since "Ultimates" ended, I'd been l...

12/12 saw the release of Avengers Arena #1
12/19 sees the release of Avengers Arena #2

That is not the way to launch a series. Some people don't come into the shop every week. If they havent been in since the 5th they're already playing catch up.

I trust Chris Roberson on this one. Can't wait for issue 2 (and Green Hornet by Mark Waid, and Black Bat by Brian Buccalleto)

X-O, Harbinger and Bloodshot have been a pleasure to read, and Shadowman has had a strong start (I need to catch up on A & A).

at the moment I think they're arguably the best 'hero' books on the market.

Bleeding Cool pointed out some nice little contradictions with that characters return (don't click the link if you don't want to be spoiled) http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/10/24/okay-so-that-thing-in-todays-avengers/ With regards to the Uncanny Avengers: retailers like larryscomics have said issue...

I've been more willing to cast an eye their way as David Liss and Colton Worley have been doing incredible work on The Spider.

Evil Ernie was a pleasant surprise this week too.

Dynamite in 2013

just looking at the Dynamite Entertainment NYCC stories and I think 2013 could be their breakout year announcements included Rick Remender & Paul Renaud on Devolution Abnett & Lanning on Original Battlestar Galactica Van Lente writing an untitled Zombie comedy featuring Comic Messageboarders...

the standard issue is listed at $7.99. so if we guess that retailers buy it at 35% of cover price ($2.79) thats a near $2000 outlay to get 1 cover.

the thing that worries me. how many shops plump for this rather than shelf copies of mid - low selling titles?

Image Comics get the same amount of money for Walking Dead 100 as for L'il Depressed boy.

Not sure about the advertising, I do know Creators can choose which house ads they want in the back of their books (if any).

CAPTAIN AMERICA #1 - "Thrust into a bizarre, inhospitable world far from home". Nope. Not for me. Reading that solicit just made me think of Prophet at Image. X-MEN: LEGACY #1 & #2 - Bendis double-shipped. Two issues means we should see 1/3rd of a story in November. If #1 is discounte...
